- *** LATE-BREAKING NEWS ***
-
- If you are currently a registered user of a previous
- version of Command Post, you should have gotten an update
- letter in the mail by now. If you didn't get it, then we
- do not have your correct address. Call (206) 937-9335.
-
-
- EVERYONE!
-
- Please note the online HELP cardfile, CP_HELP.CRD accessible
- from the Command Post menu. There is a SPECIAL SECTION in the front
- of this cardfile that discusses functions NOT IN THE MANUAL.
-
- ALSO Maybe you can save the cost of a phone call.....
- The CP_QUEST.CRD cardfile on the disk (or Zip file) has a number
- of common questions and answers that our tech support people
- have been asked. Quite likely the answer to your question can be
- found in this file.
-
- Both CMDPOST.CPM and CMDUSER.CPM have been changed from previous
- versions. Be sure to check out CMDUSER.CPM for the new clipboard
- functions.
-
- We've included a manual on disk, called CMDPOST.TXT, containing
- all the text in the real manual, but without the illustrations.
- There are some blank spaces in the text where the pictures go, so
- use your imagination there.
-
-
-
- LEGAL MATTERS
-
- Of course the usual disclaimers still apply. We are not
- responsible for anything at all. Nothing. Even if we are
- held responsible, the limit of our liability is the
- licensing fees you paid. The full text of our license
- agreement is found in the #LICENSE.TXT file.

-
- UN-INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS
-
- If, for some reason you wish to un-install Command Post from your
- system, here is a checklist for doing so.
-
- 1) Examine the SYSTEM.INI file. If you manually installed Command Post
- as your primary shell (See Docs), you must edit the SYSTEM.INI file.
- Change
- shell=cmdpost.exe
- to
- shell=progman.exe
-
- 2) Examine the WIN.INI file.
- Change
- run=cmdpost.exe
- to
- run=
- If there is other stuff on the run= line, you probably want to
- leave it there. Just delete the cmdpost.exe from the run= line.
-
- 3) Delete the entire [CmdPost] and [Browser] (if it exists) sections
- from the WIN.INI file. Actually you may leave them there, as
- it really does not matter.
-
- 4) Delete the following files from the directory that Command Post was
- installed into.
- cmdpost.exe
- cp_dll.exe
- cp_dll3.exe
- cp_tree.exe
- browser.exe
- wininfo.exe
- cp_blnk.exe
- cp_help.crd
- cp_info.exe
- cp_virt.bat
- cmdpost.cpm
- taskmanr.exe NOT TASKMANG.EXE OR TASKMAN.EXE !!!
- cmduser.cpm (you may want to keep a copy around, esp. if you
- have put some work into this file.)
-
- In the CP-NOTES.TMP directory, delete all the files, and remove
- the directory.
-
- 5) If a file TASKMANG.EXE (NOT TASKMANR.EXE) exists, rename it to
- TASKMAN.EXE file. (This is probably in the Windows directory.)
- This is only necessary if you replaced the Windows TASKMAN.EXE
- with the Command Post version of it.
-
- 6) That should do it.
-
-

- CHANGES TO THE MANUAL
-
-
- In the Window 3.0 appendix we tell you how to replace
- Windows 3.0's Task Manager with Command Post. Microsoft
- has since renamed Task Manager to "Task List". The Command
- Post version of the may be found in the \CP-NOTES.TMP directory
- with the file name TASKMANR.EXE (If you used our install program).
- If you used the manual install, you can find it in the temp
- directory you used.
-
-
- In addition, the cardfile CP_HELP.CRD is kept 100% up to date and
- has a special section at the front that discusses new functions not
- in the manual.
-
-
